I just loved Doraemon since I started reading the comix (in Japanese and English). I don't think I have seen more than one or two episodes of the anime (nor any of the movies). -pops- Posted May 3, 2013 Report Share Posted May 3, 2013 I've particularly enjoyed Japanese food for a long time - so much so that I now make my own, including Sushi. My local Japanese restaurant is now no more and I do miss it lots. Don't know why it closed, it was very popular at a hotel owned by Japanese Airlines where all their aircrew stayed on UK stopovers - pretty much say the food was authentic, then. One of my favourite trattorias closed two years ago without an explanation. Then suddenly at the beginning of this year they reopened. Turns out that the chef spent a year in Napoli to perfect his pizza making. He even won a gold medal at the end! Hope that your Japanese chef is also just training in Japan...
