  3. What is sashimi ? Uncooked/raw food (pops)

Pat, I feel incredibly inadequate!

I am ashamed to admit that I know so little about Japanese food, let alone the culture.

Irene, I knew nothing about Japan before I accidentally ended up here. It took me 25 years to learn the little bit I know about Japan that I know today.

2. Is it characterised by the sticky rice pressed into blocks? (could also be rolled in a sheet of dried seaweed [nori])

3. Uncooked fish (and meat?) (any uncooked food, actually)
