Philosophaie
I am trying to sell a old Laptop with Windows XP pro.I have removed all my programs, ran Accessories>Disk Cleanup, removed Favorites, and Emptied My Documents. How do I safely remove my cookies? And anything else I may have forgot.

andsome
C Cleaner is tops as far as I am concerned. It gets rid of all tracking cookies. It has been said on here that tracking cookies are harmless. I disagree with that, I don't want anyone tracking me thanks. I use C Cleaner every night before closing down, and ALWAYS before doing any banking.

andsome
I just telephoned ESET help. They advised me that I can over rule and allow installation, but that the installer did contain a form of malware..
-pops-
I've been using Ghostery for a long time on numerous machines and it's never caused me any problems. It gets a green WOT score but that isn't necessarily a guarantee of safety - the software that Lamb Chop was lumbered with recently also had a green WOT and there was something very odd about that.
