The files on a dropped hard drive are still recoverable?

Recommended Posts

I have a friend that accidentally dropped his WD external hard drive that has held a large number of his business and private files. After inserting this drive to a computer, an error message always pops out and asks him to format it at first. But, he says he has no any data backup and cannot afford to lose these important files. So, do you have any solution to help him? How can he get back all needed files back before the formatting?

Please help him.

Thanks!

Your friend Betty has a similar problem which was sent a few few weeks ago:

I have problem with my WD external hard drive:

I had accidentally dropped it to the ground when it was transferring some data from my PC. Now, I am not able to access the data inside it. Every time I try to plunge it back to my PC, a message would pop out and say: “Drive is not formatted. Do you want t format it now?”

What’s the hell with it? Could you help me fix this? Many work documents are still saved there.

Help me!

You really must try to be more careful in China with your computers or can we expect a message soon announcing a revolutionary data recovery method?
