bludgard
Hi,Maybe trying Chrome offline installer will help. Also, try disabling the anti virus/malware software before installing. If a third party antivirus is installed, make sure Windows Defender is disabled as it is agressive and runs in the background by default. The site says that Windows Defender will "back off" but I have seen more instances than not of WinDef fighting AVG, SAS, Webroot and other third party antimalware products.Necromiah Jr.
Irene
Maybe something here to help:https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2762879?hl=en-GB Windows 8 mode only works if your computer supports hardware acceleration. Type about:gpu into your Chrome address. Look under "use hardware acceleration when available" to see if hardware acceleration is unavailable or disabled.Windows 8 mode doesn't work on high DPI devices. If you are on a high-resolution display, Windows 8 mode won't be accessible. Or, perhaps here:https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/x712eD0NNiM
