Belatucadrus
Just had a Hare walk down the lawn, only the second one I've seen here in donkeys years. Anybody else seen any unusual critters of late ?
Irene
Nothing I've noticed. We have a field beyond our garden, which is regarded as part of the flood plane for the meandering stream (which flows into the River Sow). Depending on the season, we see a lovely variety of wildlife there - wading birds when the field is in flood and all manner of other critters when dry. A number of years ago (before the cattle crisis), there was a small herd out there and one gave birth just outside our garden - it activated all of my maternal instincts! Belatucadrus
We've also had a Muntjac doe with a fawn, the fawn is totally manic runs everywhere at full tilt, even spooks its mum sometimes by appearing from nowhere at a rate of knots. Irene
Lucky you! It never ceases to amaze me, how 'the young' of any and every species (including our own) demonstrate similar behaviour... such innocence. :)
