cinque8 Posted April 3, 2014 Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 Hi, a friend of my has been using a HP laptop computer for several years that had the Windows Vista operating system. She also has a HP Officejet 4500 Desktop printer. Her computer crashed recently and she decided to purchase a new HP Pavillion laptop with Windows 8. The problems is that now her old printer won't work with the new computer. The person who sold her the new laptop told her that she needed a new printer, but the printer worked fine with her old computer. This sounds like a software problem to me. If she loaded the drivers from her old disc, shouldn't the printer work with the new computer, even if it is running 8?
