Irene
I just had an email from a friend, who is asking if it's possible to transfer a voice message from phone to computer. Her phone is a Nokia C3-01. Anyone have any idea?
-pops-
I don't know what the current legal situation is on this but, I'm fairly sure that when BT was telephone king (i.e before mobiles) it was illegal to record telephone calls on anything further than the messaging device on the phone apparatus itself. On a point of law, in a case I was involved with a long time ago, the judge refused to allow the playback of an answerphone message in the courtroom, equating this to be akin to phone tapping. The situation is most likely different now with phones taking the place of real life but it's something to be aware of.
Irene
Thanks -pops-, very good point. I think she just hopes to hear it more clearly - she has a hearing deficiency. However, I'll certainly pass on your info. Who knows it may be very relevant!
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I think the best would be if your friend asked the company that provided the phone. I personally do not even know how to listen to a message recorded on my mobile phone...
Irene
Thanks Pat. :D Following a another Google search, I found a similar post which suggested that it should be possible using the Nokia Ovi Suite (which can be installed on the PC) - download here: http://www.comms.ovi.com/m/p/ovi/suite/English .
