howard2504
Hi, I have a netbook with windows 7 starter edition installed. I need to re-install windows. I have no cd's which isn't a problem as ive done a diskpart on a usb drive and copied an iso image (ultimate and have remove ei.cfg - so I may select starter edition. Everything fine so far. When I come to install I get to the point "expanding files" - gets to 60+% then I get "windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart in the installation. Error code : 0x8007045D I have re-installed my ram - as some forums pointed to this being the problem - but still the same outcome many thanks in anticipation Howard

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I need to re-install windows. Why not just restore from your last good backup?
Lamb Chop
Pat If I may ask a question - how do you know if you have a good backup? Is there any way to check it has actually worked? I still do a cut and paste back up of all my files and to date has been the only successful way over last 4 re-installs. Remember Acronis 2012 failed on previous computer they couldn't even get it to work. Refunded money etc. Mozback up works well for Firefox bookmarks as well as Thunderbird settings.
