First time for me.

Recommended Posts

I turned on the wife's computer to be met with a screen that said the BIOS was corrupted and did I want to rewrite it from the backup BIOS, to which I clicked yes and five minutes later it was up and running again.

I remember back in the old days bricking a motherboard when doing a flash, but SWMBO knows nothing about computer workings.

It mystified me, so can anyone take a guess at what corrupted the BIOS.

The motherboard in question is about 8 months old and is a Gigabyte. F2A88XN-WIFI .
