UKAspie
This is a variant of "Windows 10 won't stay in Hibernation". I've unchecked any tasks with "Wake the computer to perform this task" and in any case there is nothing scheduled for 02:55 and 14:55. Has anyone else experienced this? Belatucadrus
I don't use W10 and haven't touch wood experienced this, one suggestion I've found is that if you have a windows update that requires a restart it can do this even in Hibernate mode. There's also this on How to Geek which may enable you to pin down the cause.
UKAspie
Thanks. The Command Prompt line: powercfg -waketimers shows "Media Center" as being the culprit. The Task Scheduler GUI shows "Media Center" does *not* have "Wake the computer to run this task" selected so I can't deselect it. I have also checked the "Power Options" Advanced Settings and "Allow Wake Timers" was already disabled. I've used "Programs and Features" to disable Media Center but the wake-up is still there. I'm prepared to go to "regedit" next if necessary, but waiting in case there are more comments first.
Belatucadrus
Found this :- Quote Media Center automatically updates via Windows Task Scheduler (it does not update via Windows Update) - Open Start Menu, and click "Run" - Enter the following in the Run dialog box "taskschd.msc /s" and press the Enter key - Expand the Task Scheduler Library (Microsoft -> Windows -> Media Center) - Click on Media Center to reveal the Media Center tasks in the center pane - Scroll to and select each occurence of 'mcupdate' - Right click each 'mcupdate' and select 'Disable'
UKAspie
Thanks again. I've done that and it looks likely to have found the cause. I hope I don't need another "not fixed" update!
