The tracking of palms has always been very tricky.

For one thing, they always seem happier if there is a camel or two round about. Mainly to relieve them of their fruit.

For another thing, they travel so slowly that their move from day to day is almost impossible to  measure, and from month to month scarcely discernible. ....even to other palms.

The natives have a saying, "Dont have a qualm, go track a palm." .....and I think you will find it to be quite relaxing.

Can you not just uninstall the synaptics driver and rely on the Windows one?
