moon
I've just installed 98SE over itself on a machine I've been running for three years on the same 98SE install. It finally misplaced its USB savvy and there was nothing I could do to nurse it any further. Anybody run the same install for longer. ? Sir Radfordin
Got an IBM Thinkpad 240 bought in Jan 2000 with Win98 SE on it that has never been rebuilt. More software has been installed and uninstalled on it than you can point your mouse at. Its been part of several networks, have several printers used on it and is running just fine. Shame the battery has died :(

moon
Yeah, it was a teenager killed mine. I told him not to turn off the scanner while the machine was hot . :D
