Hotmail Popper

Recommended Posts

Hotmail can normally only be checked on the web, or via Outlook Express :(

With Hotmail Popper, you can use your normal (non OE) POP mail client to retrieve e-mail from your Hotmail account.

Hotmail Popper also allows you to send e-mails through Hotmail's service, as if it was a normal SMTP (outgoing mail) server.

I use Calypso for email - which isn't really mainstream and the new version 2.1.0 of HP works fine with that - so it should work with anything ? :D

If you use NTL, you don't need a special hot mail account, you can pick your mail up from any computer.

That is if it is working, I find NTL very 'sticky'. I always seem to have trouble downloading it from the server.

Most email accounts are web based andsome, meaning that you can pick them up from any computer. The thing is that people do like to download their emails into their email client and not have to log into the web based mail box all the time. Hotmail makes this difficult because it isn't pop3 friendly.... but with Boris's handy little utility, if you like to use hotmail then you should be able to download your emails now instead of having to log into hotmail to get them. :P
