IMTNT
I ran the Windows 10 Disk Cleanup utility today and it said I had around 3TB of Windows Updates that it could cleanup. My disk space is nowhere near that size but I ran it anyway. Took about an hour and the PC was getting hot, temp sensor and fans going crazy. It completed and I gained about 10GB of disk space with no problems. I run CCleaner about once a week. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen similar. I right clicked and ran as Administrator. Boris
Quite normal if you haven't run it for a few months - these Win 10 cumulative updates since the Anniversary Update can get quite big. It is cpu intensive, but If your PC is getting that hot when you run this for an hour then you may have a cooling problem ? What is the spec of the PC ? suryateja
Yeah pretty common on windows 10 due to their continuous updates but, don't run once in a year because getting high temperature can affect your PC. So, run frequently to avoid long running clean up's
