Guest nellie2
K9 is a small spam email filtering programe. It is a bayesian filter which means it uses statistical analysis to weed out spam.K9 pageK9 learns from its mistakes and becomes better and better at being able to identify spam. More importantly it learns to recognize what you consider to be spam.Read the instructions.... I think this little baby may be worth sticking with!! moon
My Mailwasher is creaking under the strain. Sometimes it stops halfway. Time for effective legislation. I'll have a look at that nell. :)
-pops-
From my point of view, Mailwasher is perfectly adequate as a lot, but by no means all, spam is stopped by the BT spam stopper system.K9 looks not to be the simplest program to set up and install and I'm of an age now where I can't be bothered doing complex setting up procedures. When they do an idiot's version, I'll have another look but, until then, it's a no-no.
Guest nellie2
Well I think you are right there -pops- it does take a bit of setting up so it won't be everyone's cup of tea. But sometimes you can find a little gem if you put the effort in.Personally I am quite happy with mailwasher.... but would give this a go if I felt the need. :D
-pops-
There was a time when I would tinker about for hours/days installing programs and tuning them up but, alas, no more :(
