Guest Grim Reaper
halloween is just another excuse for blatant commercialism, it is another reason for the supermarkets and other shops to rip us off.one day, humanity will come to its senses and see what a waste of time it all is!! Guest nellie2
Oh bol..... um what a load off rubbish. Lighten up.
Guest Grim Reaper
i dont see it as a need to lighten up, why waste all that money on pumpkins, costumes and all the crap that goes with it for a couple hours of nothing, trick or treat....why not just beg on the streets, the tricks are nothing more than another excuse for the youth to lob eggs at people and how many people actually remember that the day has its roots in religion???? Guest nellie2
You are talking to an agnostic here but I know that it is All Hallowes Eve or the day before All Saints Day. Who was talking about trick or treat?? That is an american thing anyway. Now what about a bonfire and cinder toffee. Duck apple and silly games with your friends. mikef
Halloween these day's have become another commercial rip off, what's wrong with the old days when I was a kid, we had turnip lanterns, and dressed up simply with a simple party with things like bobbing for apples and other games but no knocking at doors trick or treating. Sir Radfordin
Shops around me seem to have forgotten we had Haloween between the end of 'going back to school' which runs from May - August and Christmas which runs from September to January. They have had to add Haloween products in over the top as a really bad after thought. And now (going off topic!) the weather is in on the act, woke up this morning and it looks like Winter. The trees have still go their leaves on. Not a good sign!
