Guest Grim Reaper Posted November 10, 2003 Report Share Posted November 10, 2003 welcome back bint!!!!!what it is saying is that it is looking at your ethernet port (the one that looks like a phone connection only bigger) and it cant see a cable.If you are not going to use a LAN to connect to the net, it is probably best to disable the LAN ability in your bios. bvw Posted November 10, 2003 Report Share Posted November 10, 2003 Right click on My Computer (on your desktop) and select Properties/Hardware. Select the Device Manager tab. Click on the plus mark in front of Network adapters. Right click on the drop down menu and select properties. At the bottom of the General tab, select Disable this hardware profile.
