Dark Knight Posted November 13, 2003 Report Share Posted November 13, 2003 Ok hello all i am new to this forum but i am quite sure that my problem is an old one...I have had my Homepage hijacked and it is annoying the SH**t out of me :angry: !!Not just because i had not say in the matter but because it sends me to an UTTERLY USELESS page idgsearch (Intelligent decision guide) a site for finnancial stuff loans etc. The thing is it does not do it all the time i can go and reset my homepage and it will be fine for a while but then i go back to open up IE and **BAM** there it goes i cannot tell if it is somethinng i am using or what but it's really ticking me off if anyone could give me some concrete advice on how to remove it i would be really appreciative thanks in advance.... :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
-pops- Posted November 13, 2003 Report Share Posted November 13, 2003 To keep your home page as you want it to be, install Startpage Guard http://www.webattack.com/get/startpageguard.shtmlDo you have Ad-aware and/or Spybot S&D installed? These can go a long way to checking up on undesirables being downloaded into your machine and if you install SpywareBlaster you can stop them being downloaded at all. If not fixed plan B is belowDownload Hijackthis via this page, read the tutorial there, then copy/paste the results here we can fix it.
