Guest northamuk
I seem to have forgotten (if it was ever possible) how to empty the "Sent" items in Outlook Express.Reason for asking is that a friend (using German version of ME) is finding that he cannot send messages with a picture attachment without them hanging or crashing his system. He has sent out about 800 copies of the same email but now has a problem. Is it possible to "repair" OE ?

Guest Grim Reaper
the easy way to empty the sent items is simply to go into the folder and delete them all.to stop OE saving sent emails, goto tools>options>send and uncheck the Save Copies of sent messages in Sent items folder.800 copies of the same e-mail....is this where my spam is coming from????? Guest northamuk
ellas, that appears to be for XP and is way too complicated to translate. Thanks anyway.
Guest northamuk
Lord Lucan, no spam, it's a Book promotion !!
andsome
I have no bother at all in deleting them, but have to do it one at a time, with a right click and delete. I never let them build up beyond about thirty or so for this reason. Unlike the deleted items folder which of course can be deleted with one action. Chris
Sent Items Ctrl - A Delete?
Guest northamuk
powerless, That did it ! (open sent items - Highlight one - press ctrl +A - they all become Highlighted - right click and choose Delete). It can obviously take a while if you have hundreds in there. THANKS. Guest nellie2
Um, as a matter of interest... if you don't want to delete them all but just want to delete a chunk of them then you can highlight the first one... scroll down to where ever the last one is... hold the shift key down and highlight the last one and it will select all in between.... or, you could just highlight each individual one while holding the control key down.........then you don't have to select chunks you can just select which ever ones you want here and there!!!!! :)
