Belatucadrus
Buy a cheap freezer thermometer and check the temperature on your freezer. Recommended operating temperature for a domestic freezer is -18 degrees C, there is no point in operating at a lower temperature you're just burning the electric to no good purpose and as as most integral freezer gauges are a touch vague, check and fine tune. Belatucadrus
The temperature gauge on our freezer was sitting on the "safe zone" the thermometer revealed it was at -25 degrees. So far fine tuning has changed it to -19 and the pump is already spending more time off. I expect the cost of the thermometer to be recouped very quickly. Belatucadrus
Final tweak has freezer running at the ideal -18C and I remain convinced the exercise will pay for itself quickly.
