Question about pictures

Hello Angel and a belated welcome.

There are two ways of posting a picture.

The first is to post a picture that is already on the web. For this you need to know the address of the picture i.e.

h**p://www.windowsforum.org/support/forum/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif

once you have this address, click on the IMG button and type the address of the picture. Click on ok and the forum will automatically add the picture to the thread for you. This will be the full size picture. i.e. av-616.jpg

The second is to add a picture that is on your pc. The way to do this is to go to the File Attachments area at the bottom of the posting area, and click on browse, navigate to the location of the file on your hard drive and click ok.

Again, the forum will automatically add the picture for you only this time in the form of a clickable thumbnail. i.e.

post-1-1070998879_thumb.jpg

well, there is actually a fee for putting a picture on the boards, all cheques payable to grim reaper@windows forum. The rate is dependant on the content of the picture.

Hi

Grim is correct in this method, but if you are going to link to a picture that is already on a website, just make sure that they allow you to link to them.

Cos if this is done on a very big forum with 1000's of members this can really use up a lot of bandwidth for the site.

It is best to get some free webspace for your self, then you can put the picture there and link to it. :)

All the best

Tony
