i currently have a BT ADSL connection, and today was given the option of having an NTL broadband connection.....cost isnt really an issue and i'm not unhappy with my current setup so my question is, which one should i plump for?

With ntl i could upgrade to a 1mb connection but in my experience, BT's customer service has been excellent (NTL could learn here).

So any thoughts??

Depends on your connection preferences I would think, Help ? plenty of documented probs with NTL, but also plenty of NTL help sites.

NTL use network card set up I think, But they may be going to STB connection.

My BY connection via network card and router, easily set up,

Do you currently use USB modem ?

Speaking from personal experience.

I signed up with BT 512k service in Jan this year.

I made so many 'phone calls to complain about the service that I was given a FULL refund of every penny I paid up till Oct 15th - £260 odd quid in all :D

I could make up to 6 'phone calls in a night - obviously never speak to the same person, have to go through the whole procedure every 'phone call - drove me to distraction.

I've since switched to NTL 1MB service. Absolutely superb.

Trying to get through to NTL support is a pain though. :(

now my experience is completely the opposite, i have nothing but praise for BT, and any contact i have had with NTL has been painful....

The appeal of the NTL package is the 1mb option....
