andsome
Isn't it just amazing the difference extra RAM makes? My first computer had 32 Ram, I had this upgraded to 64 then to 128. My new computer last January had 500 DDR when I had it built. Yesterday I upped this to 1024 DDR, and it is incredible. Everything moves so fast that it's almost making my eyes go funny. Extra RAM should be the FIRST item on everyone's Christmas pressie list. 'Er indoors paid for this, bless her.

doug
I've been a good boy with my Pressie from Er-in-doors, 512M DDR from crucial. I unpacked it, plugged it in, it was recognised OK. Didn't try checking it for speed but immediately re-packed it. I think she is wrapping it up now :DPS. this is upgrading from 256 SDR. Am editing some audio stuff for No. 1 G'daughter now and it is so slow. PPS. Have just been informed by other daughter that there may be and addition from her side of the derivatives. :wohoo:
Guest nellie2
Everyone seems to be ramming in the RAM. Don't forget that if you use W98 or ME then it is not really recommended that you go above 512mb of ram, in fact your system could start slowing down again if you do
