christmascracker
What does this lot mean at the foot of the webpage? If I open a page, close it and re-open it, the numbers are different.[ Script Execution time: 0.0752 ] [ 12 queries used ] [ GZIP Enabled ]Good question, I get this too and have always wondered what it all means
Guest nellie2
Gzip is a compression doo dah to help save bandwidth, the queries has something to do with the database.. not sure about the script thing. Sorry I can't be a bit more technical on this one :(
Redhat
:) The pages use a web-programming language called PHP. PHP is what's called a server-side language which means everything within the page is created on-the-fly and sent from the server. The script execution time is the amount of time it took to render the page, or load in simpler terms :) Gzip, yes nel, it's compression :) Queries will be to do with the database too, most probably a MySQL db :)
