I have the following problem, hope you can sort it out for me.I've bought an AIPTEK USB 2.0 (1.1 compatible) Flash Disk (STICK). I am unable to install it fully on my Win 2000 service pack 4 laptop (Targa Xtender 400) When I check out the status of the device, via the 'Removable Disk' symbol in the task window, I can see the flash drive displayed with a yellow/black exclamation mark. this gives me the message unable to start device, problem code 10.Using the manager (what ever its called - Running a German System So I'm guessing) I can see:'USB Flash Drive USB Device' Micro Soft driver version 5.0.2195.1 and the path to c:\winnt\system32\Drivers\disk.sys and a version no. 5.00.2195.6655. I know the stick works as I've managed to install it on my Win98SE 'puter (when attached computer refuses to shutdown - just left with a blinking cursor!?) (hope they reply!)As I said before I don't always know the correct English names (never had a 'puter back home!) for certain windows messages/systems. It appears that my USB controller 'SIS 7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller' is at fault and should be disabled in the BIOS. Unfortunately I can't find this setting in my BIOS! Amibios v1.3Is there a FIX for this controller? Would a BIOS update help? If so which one?Anybody got any ideas?STUartps I'm also trying Targa's help service now!
