I recieved this little maths trick and it worked for me......

Key into the calculator the first 3 digits of your phone number (not area code).

>Multiply by 80.

>Add 1.

>Multiply by 250.

>Add last 4 digits of your phone number.

>Add last 4 digits of your phone number again.

>Subtract 250.

>Lastly, divide by 2. Is this your phone number???

Let x be the first 3 digits, i.e. 10000 times smaller than the actual numerical value.

Let y be the last 4 digits, then the algorithm becomes

{250[80x+1]+2y-250}/2

if you multiply out the 250[80x+1] it becomes 20000x + 250

see what's happening?

Then the 250's cancel out

then divide by 2 and you have

x0000 plus y

Simple really but a good party trick
