Andy-2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Report Share Posted February 24, 2004 ive been intrested in this for some time and today i satrted to do some researchfould http://www.linuxbeginner.org/modules.php?n...=article&sid=92and http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue38/veselosky.htmlgot quite alot of info from the second 1but i thnk it talks about fat32 being a "new" file system....i know this isnt truethe top 1 i havent read yet but will after i post this....I need - to not loose any windows files cause i dont have to origional win xp disk - to find out if dual boot is even possible on my machine(included everything u could need to know about my computer) - i ned to know what version or linux to use and where to get itthats all i can think of for now....i will keep doing research my selfbut i though i would get you guys n gals on the job as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
-pops- Posted February 24, 2004 Report Share Posted February 24, 2004 I built a machine once for someone where the hard drive was on a removable caddy and thus swappable. He had WME, Linux and something else on three separate drives and all he did was select the one he felt like that day. Saves all the bother of dual boot systems.
