The ref could have a radio on his nut, like they do in Rugby, and if he makes a right clanger the blokes on electronic watch could yell in his ear. Moon where does the critical decision start and end, I am a seson ticket holder at Rangers FC and have seen decision go against and for us at the opposite end of the pitch to which we are shooting/defending and which has led to goals for and against my club a while later.Refs are only human and make mistakes (and also get it right when every one else thinks he's wrong) but I don't think Video is the answer, I for one couldn't be bothered hanging about while everything "critical" is scrutinised, and then the arguments would rage about what is critical and what is not.I do have to admit though, to feeling that British clubs seem to get a bit of a raw deal when it comes to refs decisions against them in Europe, but i'm not sure if that's because our style of football is a bit more physical than the Euoropean game and foreign players know how to use this to their advantage or the continental refs just don't like us TE] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ranger Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 The goal line being monitored to see if the ball has fully crossed the line is probably okay, but as for the penalty thing, maybe, but what about the case where the referee dosen't award a stonewaller of a penalty and the play hasn't stopped?
