trackrat Posted March 17, 2004 Report Share Posted March 17, 2004 I have been trying to check that the path variables are correctly set up for the root user by typing into Konsole root@Olinux-lfs:~# echo $PATH but I am getting bad commandIT comes up [ alan@localhost alan] $ then I typed the above and the reply I got was - bash root@Olinux-lfs:~# command not found.I presume that [alan@localhost alan] $ is the root so what am I doing wrong.?I have also tried it in text and get the same answer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
