Damo
and dont have as good as processors as normal pcsExplain please?Who says they're not as good?Mac CPU's are designed completely differently, they cannot be compared to PC CPU in terms of clock speed.Macs may not be as diverse as PCs but are a damn sight better at alot of operations! The reason so many design companys use macs is because macs cope far better with proccessor intensive applications such as Photoshop type programs and 3d animation programs, things that a normal PC would struggle with. -pops-
My No.2 son owns a graphics business employing ten artists. Eight of them work on PCs loaded with Windows XP, two use a Mac. It's a matter of personal preference and what you're used to. It may have been true about Macs being the preferrred artists computer some time ago but not any more now that PCs are so much faster. From a more general stance, Macs are very difficult to upgrade yourself, expensive and are restricted in the software available for them at a reasonable price. Intratech
Macs are great when it comes to multimedia operations, they are great for those kinda tasks. That would be the only reason i'd get a MAC though, if I was doing alot of multimedia stuff, but for now my two P4s at 3.5GHz are providing more power than I can utilise at this point so I set them to fold.
