There is a claim that in fact he moved there at a later date. For those who don't know he was credited with having been responsible for the first English dictionary. Regarding the road out of Lichfield toward Derby. It is in fact one of the most dangerous lengths of road in the country, and there are several deaths on it every year, despite the closure of many of the minor road crossing points on it. It dates back to a TV series called Minder, all about a Spiv and his bodyguard. He always looked over his shoulder when talking about his wife and referred to her as 'er indoors.Before you give your view an the assassination, I would like to give mine. Bear in mind that although he was a frail old man, he helped organise the murder of hundreds if not thousands of innocent civilians including children. The way it was done just made him appear to be a martyr and it will make someone else pop up to take his place to carry on the legacy. The violence will continue because it is like they are playing tennis.. batting bombs back and forth like a ball. This is just going to incite more attacks from his side of the playing court now with more innocent people most likely being killed to make a point. I definitely do not have an answer for all the turmoil there, but I do think they could have been more discreet in the way they went about it in order to make the possibilities of retaliation less. I can only express my view point and accept your opinion as just that... your opinion. I don't condone a bunch of people murdering each other anywhere anytime no matter who they are or where they are. The fighting amongst themselves has went on for years and the violence only seems to increase not decrease. I hope they can eventually come to some kind of truce..far too many innocent people get in the way of their battles and pay the ultimate price. But their latest actions have made a martyr of Yassin therefore those that support him will be more inspired to violent acts to try to avenge his death. It has became a vicious never ending circle and nothing seems to get resolved. I wish I had the answers to solve the issues over there, but even if I did I don't think it would effect things either way that are happening over there. I can only state a humble opinion on what I think about it. As far as the media goes, alot of times we never see the entire story just bits and pieces of what they think we need to see. Media is quite biased here in the states a lot of the time. I also took note that it is taxpayers paying the bill for this. Shouldn't they make this very public in the media for the taxpayers to know how their money is actually being spent? I am all for less casualties and so forth but it seems to be a somewhat secretive arrangement that the public is paying for and should be more informed about. My Son is out there on Army pay and although this is now quite good it's no where near the £2000 per week that some of his friends [former Paratrooper's] are now receiving as "Armed Bodyguards" to the civilian contractors and Media people. It is a total mess over there. One of the Americans killed and burned was from a town near me. If alot more areas of Iraq begin to respond in this fashion it becomes confusing of what the miltary should do next there. What those people did were horrible atrocious acts upon people simply there to help them. I opposed this entire thing with Iraq.
