Agent Smith
Andy, your scans should (I hope) come up clean. The message you have posted above, is Norton telling you it has blocked an INCOMING attempt to access your machine, ie. it is doing it's job!Mr. M. Agent Smith
well i stoped it but i dont know if what i did was such a good idea....i pressed bont show an message for this again...is that ok?Depends :( Basically, if you trust that Norton is doing it's job and stopping the incoming connection attempt (which it appears to be doing), then you are OK.As for the rule on MIS, I would have to ask if you have applied any sort of upgrade or change to MSN? It is quite common for programs to be updated, at which point NIS then recognises the change and asks you if it is OK.If you have made no changes, then I would be suspicious. The only program I am aware of which goes funny when it is updated as opposed to the outgoing software being updated, is Zone Alarm. But I may be proved wrong there.Mr. M. Agent Smith
Hmmm, that should already have registered with Norton. To be on the safe side, I suggest making sure your Av is fully up todate, then running a full system scan overnight.Don't forget to pull the internet connection if you are on broadband.Mr. M.
