AlanHo
Blueyonder recently introduced spam filtering and virus checks on incoming Emails.I have had several notifications from them that they have intercepted and deleted Emails addressed to me which have had viruses - which is good. However the daily flood of up to 150 spam Emails I receive has continued unabated - is this the experience of other users. Mailwasher continues to do a splendid job - especially in conjunction with a programme called In-Boxer.I know that I can possibly overcome the spam problem by changing my Email address etc - but in my case this is not a practical option for business reasons. trackrat
I to have had an E-Mail of Blueyonder saying they have deleted an E-Mail with a virus attached to it, I just hope they do not delete an innocent attachment as you cannot see who sent it.Anything that cuts down on viruses is welcome though.I have had no increase in spam mail recently. AlanHo
trackratI didn't express myself very well - the point I was trying to make was that I expected the volume of spam to fall - but it has remained the same. This indicates to me that the blueyonder anti-spam thingy isn't working .
expertec
I think they turned the spam filter off again because it was causing problems?
moon
I just can't get my head round spam being legal. The government are a pack of whacks.
Guest Shirley_Crabtree
I have two pop3 email accounts,5 hotmail accounts and one yahoo account....and I get VERY little spam...(4 or 5 a week).Am I lucky or carefull??One of my pop3's is blueyonder BTW and I get NOTHING on that one.....barring the incredible 30-50 a day virus attacks I endured a couple of months ago...but they were indirect  Shirl.
