nellie2
I read about this in a magazine..... don't know if it is any good but apparently it will do your bidding for you at the last minute so you can snap up that desirable bit of 70's retro on E-baybidder

djohn
ebay already has the facility to place an automatic bid. You just set the max. price you want to pay, say £20.00 and this will the most you pay. If the bids go above your max then of course you drop out but if for instance the highest bid at closing is £15.00 you will win and pay £16.00. Just a pound above the max. bid made not the amount you are prepared to go up to.
Guest Shirley_Crabtree
Proxy bidding is,indeed, built into Ebays bidding system but sniping software can be set to place a bid on the very last second of the auction. It will then be too late for the proxy to take effect and the sniper wins. Bluecow
i used a program like that once but it directed me to the USA version of eBay  I tend to refresh the screen till there's about 30 secs left and then make my bid.
