AlanHo
Heard on Radio West Midlands today. The pound coin was introduced 21 years ago in 1983. Over the intervening 21 years 300 million coins have gone out of circulation and cannot be accounted for. The total weight is 2600 tons. Many are being hoarded by savers - but an unknow quantity have been lost.Mind boggling eh ??

-pops-
I found fifteen dropped down the side of a sofa the other day. Odd thing is that hardly anyone ever sits on it. The other (regularly used) sofa and three armchairs only coughed up two between them.
