-pops-
Shuttle systems are supposed to be the best. Are you sure that a barebones is what you want? Whilst they may ber very good for dedicated one use only machines, they are very restricted in what extras they will accomodate: there is usually only one PCI slot, no room for another hard drive/optical drive and all together a bad buy if you're wanting any versatility at all.I was thinking about setting one up for my son specifically for video work but having noted how restricting they are, I didn't. :(

-pops-
This is not what I consider to be a barebones system, more skeletal where you're getting a full sized system with bits missing.

-pops-
Not sure. Let's take it that it isn't what I consider a barebones system. So, what it has is a good speed CPU and fan (£150) but then not very much memory, floppy (£5), CD ROM (£15), keyboard and mouse (£5 each). Regarding the M/B, I've heard varying reports about Asrock but I can't comment myself as I've never used one.It may be good value but, there is no indication about case quality - you can get cases with a PSU for less than £10 from ebuyer. So, difficult to say. I'd let others comment before deciding.
