Tony Posted April 17, 2004 Report Share Posted April 17, 2004 Hi allI have been trying to install the latest updates, but they wont install.When i do the scan it comes up with 6 critical update and 1 XP update.When i click to install them, i get the down load box appear, and then the files download, i then watch the install progress bar fill up (which it does all the way) then it just goes back to the page with all the updates available for me. and all the updates are still there.When i look at the installation history it is full of failed installations the last time i had a successfully installation was dated 24th February 2004, Pic Here Installation History shows 36 failed updates 34 of which have been since the 14th April (trying to install the latest bunch.Here are My System Specs.My last successful update was this oneSecurity Update for Windows XP (KB828028)Also i tried to activate the auto install updates (when you right click "My Computer> Properties) but the tick box is all greyed out Pic Hereso has anybody got an idea as to what could be wrong.All the bestTony Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tony Posted April 17, 2004 Author Report Share Posted April 17, 2004 Hi nellie2Howard3 over at the pit sorted it, he just asked if i used a Firewall, this is my replyThanks to both of you for your replys.But Howard3 has hit the nail on the head, i use Kerio 4 Personal Firewall, so i just turned it off and all the updates installed fine.
