WHICH CD-RW TO WHICH IDE?

Recommended Posts

Madboy33. Audio - Video or data?

I've always understood it's best not to mix the HD with CD-ROM/RW because of possible conflicts.

Audio is always best to copy via HD. Copying 'on the fly' can give you 'pops' and 'skips' etc.

Data is no problem because any small gaps are ignored.

DVD I haven't had any experience of.

Good luck with the outcome. :D

Did you read the fine manual 1st ? or wasn't there one, or didn't it mention it?

I can remember fitting my 1st CDRW, followed the manual to the letter, looking closely at the pics, showed you where to cnnect the ide cable in back of cdrw no mention it had also to be plugged into the mobo   :D :D
