Guest northamuk
Doug, you might have to re-install it. It might have become corrupted.

doug
Mark, brilliant. Have just deleted, downloaded and installed AVG. Lo and behold 258 but still showing database too old. Logged on, saw your post, checked and it was showing 1st June 2002. How on earth could that happen? I only did a full check a few days ago. Will now re-boot and let you know the outcome. mark2
Think I saw a post elsewhere something similar, as an aside maybe your CMOS battery is on its way out tho.
doug
mobo is less than 12 months old. Had to replace it nd many other items; psu, HD, modem etc last year when I had a major domestic power failure. I am now running with an antisurge unit in the power cable. ;)
