djohn Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 Will someone please look at my setup of AVG and tell me if I have it correct?Twice in the last week I've picked up Worm/DEDLER.G Although AVG has cleaned it from the system with a manual scan [system restore off for scan]. I do have XP Pro and did disable system restore but how do I get AVG to check the files that have been denied access? I have cleaned the worm off [Twice now] and nel has checked my Hi-jack log, given me a clean bill of health.The main problem I have at the moment is as you can see from my screenshot, there are quite a few items that AVG is not allowed access to. Is this normal? does your log file show the same when you check it? I have tried to check the files on an individual basis but I get "Access denied" :unsure: When AVG is doing the scan and I look in the window at the top it does seem to be checking all the paths even though the text is moving at a very fast speed. :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

djohn Posted May 10, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 It wasn't ticked but is now! The results are still showing the same though as you will see from the latest screenshot. The main difference was I saw the .dat files flying through the test window and the scan took 14 minutes instead of 9 minutes.I feel a bit more comfortable now and thanks very much trackrat. :) Still seems a bit weird though doesn't it saying " can't open not checked." :unsure: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
