andsome
I have always relied on Spybot S & D and Spyware Blaster. In view of many recent scares I have now also downloaded Adaware 6. It seems at first sight to be a little more complicated than the other two. Any tips on configuration etc would be gratefully received. I would also appreciate tips about the plug-ins that are available. Why aren't they in the basic program, and which ones do I need?
-pops-
I just use the default settings on the free version of Adaware. I think you have to pay for the plugins.I'm very impressed with the new Spybot S&D. It's found some very odd things hidden deep in my machines. Redhat
andsome,Just make sure you update Adaware regularly, and scan at least once a week and you should be fine :) There are free plugins I believe : http://www.lavasoft.de/software/plugins , which you may or may not want. They don't really add any more protection, they are jst so you can get some more info on files I believe.
