I have now set up a proxy server and the access is instant. It is obvious that the local NTL franchise have not applied a recent update. If anyone else in the area is having the same bother, open Internet Options/Connections. Click on LAN settings. Put a tick in the proxy server box and then type the following.62.255.32.4 Then in the port type 8080 Then click OK.This only works for broadband, NOT dial up. The person I spoke to took all the details down and will report that this at the very least the second time that this particular server has not updated regularly.
