Solved Digital cordless phones

We've got a digital cordless ntl d5100 master with 3 d505 extension phones. These have been working extremely well until recently. Because of my wife's condition we always make sure that If one or other of us is, say, in the garden we always have one of the extension phones with us. Now Anne usually has the kitchen one but it has started to play up. It seems to lose the radio link in the it keeps going beep and the little aerial symbol flashes with the word auto also flashing. Have replaced the rechargeable battery without any change. It also does this trick when sitting in it's charger unit. I'm sure it needs replacing but search as I might I can't seem to find anywhere to get one. Curry's, Comet, Argos etc. only advertise complete packages but all I want is one replacement extension unit. Any suggestions?

I was in Comet last week doug to buy the synergy 3105 cordless phone and I'm sure the extension sets were available as a separate item. They definitely had some models on show where the extensions could be bought separate but can't remember if yours was one of them.

Thanks dj. According to the book it shouldn't make any difference in that the instructions for the base units sat that up to 4 additional handsets can be added - d505's, any other ntl digital hand set or another manufacturer's handset. So I'll pop along and have a shufty.

I had this problem a couple of years ago. I bought a digital phone and the instructions said that I could add up to four additional handsets. I was told that I could only buy additional handsets together with charger units, at the same price as the original phone complete. I involved trading standards, and in the end Panasonic sent me an FOC hand set complete with charger, and agreed to withdraw all the literature offering handsets as an optional stand alone purchase.

Problem solved - I think. Found an NTL helpline and was linked through to the parts supplier. Replacement handset arriving tomorrow £35 without the charger. Thanks for suggestions.
