This is going to sound a bit weird and the result is pureley legit, i assure you.

Basically, i need a small program that i can slip on a floppy and run from a 2000pro machine (my laptop) and i need it to drop the screen resolution to something like 240x320, or similar to make the machine unusable. It doesnt have to be easilly reversable it just needs to work. Something can slip into the startup directory would be even better but thats not required as i can do that manually.

Any ideas? i really need this.

Welcome to the forum.

Regarding your request, I can envisage lots of unsociable uses for a disc the way you say you want it.

Personally, I wouldn't care whether your uses are legit or not, it's what others could do with the information.

Sorry if I seem to be unco-operative but, can you see my point?

I can't help you with this one, but if any of our members can then I would ask that you discuss this using the PM facility! :)

As -pops- said, your reasons may be legit... but what someone else who comes across that sort of information posted on a public board would do with it is another question!

If anyone can help Beani could you PM him please, thanks!

Palm PC's have programs like this, but I've not seen one for a desktop. Generally no one wants thier resolution that low, so why make a program for it?

Chances are your going to have to write a program for this, or find a experienced programmer to do it for you, unfortunatley, I don't know enough about programming to do this for you.

Try a programming forum, see if someone knows how, or can at least give you hints on how to do this.
