-pops-
This is probably very easy to answer and everyone knows it - except me - but, where do I find the date that a computer was first set up (or Windows installed)? This is just curiosity, not a life threatening problem so, if there's an easy answer (no BIOS searching or registry tweaks :) ) I would be interested.TIA. christmascracker
If it's XP go to help & support centre, click on tools, my computer information, then view the status of system hardware & software. It's in there. There is an easier way I just cant remember at the mo
expertec
If you have Everest or AIDA32, just look in the Operating System section. :)

-pops-
Thanks very much :) :) The reason I wanted this info is because I thought I had lost some emails from changing to this machine as my "default" from my previous one. There seemed to be about a weeks worth missing. As it turns out, it appears there were no emails worth keeping in that time.Everything now sorted out.PS I like the Everest - I wasn't aware of it until now. Even contains the Product key for the O/S which I remember from another place that people were constantly asking about.
