Unluckiest Bloke

Recommended Posts

Hi all

After all my troubles with the RAM i inadvertently pulled the IDE cable from my second HDD, thus needing a new ribbon. So i accordingly went to PCWORLD to get one.

I came home and fitted it, turned the computer on to be presented with a message saying Press A key. Damn i thought.

Looked at the 2 HDD's and realised that the jumper for the second HDD was missing (it must have been pulled out by mistake). OK so i thought it must be on the floor or in the computer.

Could i find it? No i couldn't.

Another trip to PC World to go and get a jumper, went to the repair centre and asked them if they had any? I was answered with "whats a jumper". I thought he was joking at first, then it dawned on me he wasn't ! I asked another member of staff and they advised that they would be in the component centre.

Went into the component centre and there was not any there. Damn i thought, so i asked if they had any there, there answer was "sorry we don't give them out", which i thought was a bit off.

First things first, where do i get a jumper from?

Second: Am i the unluckiest bloke when it comes to computer?
