madboy33
Hi allAfter all my troubles with the RAM i inadvertently pulled the IDE cable from my second HDD, thus needing a new ribbon. So i accordingly went to PCWORLD to get one.I came home and fitted it, turned the computer on to be presented with a message saying Press A key. Damn i thought.Looked at the 2 HDD's and realised that the jumper for the second HDD was missing (it must have been pulled out by mistake). OK so i thought it must be on the floor or in the computer. Could i find it? No i couldn't.Another trip to PC World to go and get a jumper, went to the repair centre and asked them if they had any? I was answered with "whats a jumper". I thought he was joking at first, then it dawned on me he wasn't ! I asked another member of staff and they advised that they would be in the component centre.Went into the component centre and there was not any there. Damn i thought, so i asked if they had any there, there answer was "sorry we don't give them out", which i thought was a bit off.First things first, where do i get a jumper from?Second: Am i the unluckiest bloke when it comes to computer? madboy33
Nice one Mr MHavent you allways noticed that they are normally right little blighters to get out, but with me they just fall out
Scarecrow Man
Remember madboy... all a jumper does is 'turn off' two pins. Just make a wire to connect to the two pins, carefully place it, and your fixed untill you can find a real one.
