bvw Posted August 10, 2004 Report Share Posted August 10, 2004 I use 2 external hard drives ( in enclosures ) plus CD and DVD.You can get an enclosure for about £20 to £30 and use any size hard drive you want to.USB1 will be fine, the enclosures are USB2 these days but work fine on USB1. Don't backup everything, you'll end up with a 10 gig backup with 1 gig of usefull info on it.Documents and Settings folder in windows XP is a good thing to start with, and generally all you need to backup, again, depending on what you want saved.Most backup utilities will make an 'overspan' CD if the files are too large for 1 CD.Do a search on this forum, or in google for backup programs and see which has the abilities your looking for.
