The software giant said the new system, named Windows XP Starter Edition, would go on sale in Asia in October. The company said the cut-price software was designed for "first-time desktop PC users in developing countries". They're making thier OS worse, taking out all the neat features that make windows tolerable in the first place, and STILL charging money for it.This is going to flop. How is this new idea going to prevent that?My son was in Singapore the day XP was launched - it was already on sale in the markets there and it continues to be so at a tiny fraction of what MS charge for it and no "activation" required.
